|
By Kelly Richardson Career Colleges Columnist American engineering professional David Murphy recently made an enormous personal and career sacrifice. Murphy took a 70% pay cut in order to provide engineering support to the tsunami-torn region of Banda Aceh in Indonesia. When Catholic Relief Services assembled a $100 million rebuilding project for the most heavily damaged regions of the Indonesian province, they turned to David Murphy and his engineering talents to lead the way. Now, with the help of a translator, Murphy and his family have moved to the region in what is certainly an incredible sacrifice.
