Massage therapy has the power to create transformative and life-enhancing effects. This is especially true for clients when their massage therapist has experienced such effects for him or herself, and has a deep understanding of what this work is about. At its core, CCMT has always had this focus of providing comprehensive and quality professional training in a context of heart and mindfulness. The result is a powerful awareness of the self and a solid foundation for helping others with massage therapy.
Over the years, our community has grown to include three campuses offering several innovative programs with opportunities for student and graduate clinics, fieldtrips, other pre-employment experiences.
We also have an excellent store, Hands-On Supply, with on-line ordering and a mail-order catalog, as well as a high degree of services for our current students and graduates, including licensure and placement assistance.
Our courses are academically challenging and professionally up-to-date with customized training manuals. Our courses have been evaluated by Charter Oak State College, Connecticut's regionally accredited "school without walls," and approved for college credits. Providing students with a high degree of individual attention through our dedicated staff and faculty has led to consistently high student satisfaction and program completion, high exam pass rates, and high employment among our graduates.
Professional credibility, ethics, service and reputation are important for all, especially in the massage therapy field. CCMT has met the highest standards for our profession with accreditation by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA).
