Everest College opened its doors in 1982 as the Academy of Business College. The original focus of the school was business, however its course offerings soon expanded to include computer, medical and legal curriculums.
In 1994, the college was approved by the American Bar Association for its Legal Assistant program.
The Academy of Business College was acquired by Rhodes Colleges, Inc. (RCi) and subsequently changed its name to Everest College. Rhodes College, Inc. is a branch of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (CCi), which consists of more than 80 postsecondary learning institutions throughout the United States.
The entire college system is dedicated to the notion that students should have the opportunity to reach their full academic and professional potential. To that end, it is committed to developing a desire for knowledge and the skills necessary for successful, life-long learning in all students.
