By Kelly Richardson Career Colleges Columnist The world stood riveted as lawyers for O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake argued their clients' cases. Both were found innocent, but lost a degree of dignity when juries found them guilty in civil court. Lawyers for both contend that this practice is the worst case of double jeopardy imaginable. O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake were famous people accused of murder. Shrewd lawyers worked over witnesses and appealed to juries in hopes of helping their clients walk. While both were found innocent, both were also sued in civil court and lost. Lawyers stated that following this recent trend of suing litigants is a degree of double jeopardy.
