An interesting phenomenon is sweeping across the country. Nine-to-five office jobs are beginning to lose their hold on society, and those attractive pensions that used to keep people around for 20, 30, 40 years don't have the same cachet that they used to. Telecommuting is becoming more prominent, and outsourcing is becoming more in vogue. The traditional path of high school, liberal arts college, steady job, and retirement is quickly becoming "old-fashioned" for many of today's forward-thinking professionals. This is especially true given the rising popularity of online education programs.
Receiving Online Training through a Trade School
The National Association of Colleges and Employers conducted a survey about six years ago and discovered something very interesting. Employers tend to shop around for those who possess the right skills rather than the right majors. Academic learning is important, but skills are marketable assets that can help generate higher levels of income. Trade schools are one of the fastest paths to securing those skills.
One of the fastest ways to complete trade school is through online
training. Online education makes it easier to complete accelerated tracks because many schools are self paced. Do what you can when you can. Plus, you save a ton of time and money by not having to commute, making online training even more attractive.
Do Employers Respect Education Online?
This is actually a very legitimate question because the answer might have been somewhat negative 10 or 15 years ago. Times have changed. Education
online is becoming such a huge industry that employers have no choice but to respect it. The numbers essentially speak for themselves.
